In continuation of “Bapco Retail Company’s” strategies to develop old fuel stations

Bapco Tazweed opens the Hidd fuel station after being completely redeveloped according to the requirements of the new generation of stations,

Bapco Retail Company, a subsidiary of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, has launched the Hidd fuel station, as a extension of its strategy to develop fuel stations after they were modernized according to a new concept of the trademark, and in line with the requirements of the new generation of fuel stations.

The event was attended by Eng. Jassim Issa Al-Shirawi, the Chairman of the company, a number of company officials, in addition to Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Mahmoud, Honorary President of the Hidd Consumer Cooperative Society, Jassim Buali, Chairman of the society, and a number of invitees.

Eng. Jassim Al-Shirawi has asserted that the development of Hidd fuel station completes the series of projects implemented by the company to improve the quality of services provided to customers, enhance investment benefit from these stations, and rehabilitate them with the infrastructure and logistics that fits the development process experienced by the Kingdom of Bahrain in various areas.

Al-Shirawi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the company’s projects department for the efforts made to implement the development process in such a short time and within the budget allocated for the project, indicating that the station will be a pioneering edifice that serves the people of the Hidd region and all the people of Bahrain. The opening of the Hidd station comes in conjunction with the Kingdom’s celebrations of its national holidays and the coronation day of His Majesty King Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, the King of the country.

On this occasion, Bapco Retail Company extends its sincere congratulations and blessings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, and to the people of Bahrain, May Allah repeat it for all of us in prosperity and blessings.

The company also commends the support and assistance received by it and the oil sector from His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s representative for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs and the Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company, may God protect him, as well as His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the honorable Minister of Oil.

Eng. Khalid Al-Tayyar, the Acting General Manager of the company, for his part, explained that the Hidd fuel station, after its modernization, will be a new and distinguished addition to the fuel stations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and it has been developed according to the company’s strategy and plans, with the same specifications included in the previous stations in terms of shape, colors and design.

He pointed out the company’s concern to keep pace with the developmental visions witnessed by fuel stations in the world, which transmitted from the traditional concept of the station as a provider of filling services to be an integrated service area that includes integrated service facilities full of restaurants and well-known brands, in line with the spirit of the modern times, and what makes these stations attractive points for everyone.

Eng. Khaled Al-Hajj, Projects and Operations Manager at the company, has explained for his part that the area of the Hidd fuel station is 1,657 square meters, and its development process began on May 15, 2021, as the old facilities were demolished and the station built in its new and advanced form in such a short time according to the latest international systems.

He indicated that the process of station development took into account the commitment to the requirements of the environment, security and safety, at all stages of work and in its various service sites.

He also added that the station includes 6 fuel pumps that can service 12 vehicles at the same time, in addition to a mini-market store.

The establishment of the station took into account the provision of the highest environmental and safety requirements, such as the (TLS), the use of storage tanks and double-walled pipes, in addition to the vapour recovery system from vehicles during the refueling process.

For his part, Jassem Buali, Chairman of the Hidd Consumer Cooperative Society, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Bapco Retail Company for the efforts it made during the redevelopment of Hidd fuel station, praising the station’s modernized appearance in design and services, stressing that the station with its new form has become an element of pride for the Hidd District.

It is worth noting that Bapco Retail Company was established in 2019 and is wholly owned by the Oil and Gas Holding Company. It was established with the aim of increasing the number of fuel stations and expanding its network in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in addition to developing and improving the complementary services provided to customers at those stations.
